How much does it cost?
In general, a private yacht charter will be comparable in cost to a cruise or vacation destination resort. Just as hotels and resorts vary, the selection of yachts range from standard to ultra-posh, all inclusive with meals, beverages, and bar. Plan on about $2000 to $5000+ per person per week for a Motor Yacht. Typical pricing for a nice Sailing Yacht is generally less expensive and offers less expansive amenities. Rates vary by season, size of the yacht and cruising area. Peak season in the Caribbean is December through May.

Isn't a yacht vacation just like a cruise ship?
The only similarity is that both vessels are on the water! On a cruise ship, REAL personal attention is impossible. Cruising with family or a few friends on a private yacht is completely individualized to YOUR wishes. YOU can set the yacht’s itinerary with the captain and YOU can plan the menus with the chef. Do you see an island that looks like a great spot and want to stop there? No problem, simply tell the skipper! Try that on a cruise ship!  If you want to stay over an extra day or two in a particular port or have dinner an hour later - NO PROBLEM! This is all about you.

What is a Bare Boat Charter? (Captain only)
If you prefer to keep it simple and you have boating knowledge, chartering the boat as a “bare boat” is an option. This is the nautical equivalent of trekking with just a navigational guide. This charter option enables the leasing of the boat with solely the captain, whom provides local knowledge and the service of bringing the boat to various destinations. This alternative gives one the feeling of tremendous freedom, self-dependence, and accomplishment. But, it requires that someone on board must help the captain with docking and with other basic items. It also requires that all on board take at least some responsibility for the ultimate safety of the group, plus take on all the regular responsibilities such as shopping for provisions, cooking, cleaning and caring for all the toys. Taking the more basic approach gives your freinds and family a shared sense of accomplishment. With everyone pitching in to help and contribute, fond memories of camaraderie are created.

What should I pack?
A cruise on Perfect Little Paradise is a casual and relaxed vacation, so pack accordingly. Recommended items to bring include several bathing suits, T-shirts, shorts, beach cover ups, a light cotton jumper or sweat shirt for the evenings, and sunglasses. If you feel like dressing up for dinner or if you are cruising in an area with excellent restaurants ashore, you might want to bring along a dressier outfit or two, perhaps a collared shirt and slacks. You’ll find that most of the time you’ll be barefoot on the boat, which is most welcome. There is no need to purchase an expensive pair of yachting shoes but if you have a pair, you may of course bring them along. We recommend that you bring sandals or sneakers and perhaps some reef shoes. We provide all linens and beach towels that you will need for your cruise. Linens are changed every three to four days throughout the charter. Beach towels are provided both on deck and for shore trips. By mid-charter, most of our guests comment that they have over packed and that the next time they will bring half as much. We have a washer/dryer if needed and we find that the “less is more” packing approach is best.

What about sunscreen and suntan lotions?
We recommend that you bring a plentiful supply of waterproof sunscreen (factor 15 or higher) with you . Please bring the NON SPRAY PABA-FREE kind as PABA is very destructive to the varnish and stains the upholstery of our boat. No SUNOILS onboard please.

What requirements are there regarding luggage?
As with most yachts, Perfect Little Paradise has a limited amount of storage space aboard. Therefore, we ask that you bring only soft luggage. Also, we suggest to pack essential items in your carry-on luggage, as airline delayed luggage is not unheard of in the islands.

How do I handle special medications while on a cruise on Perfect Little Paradise?
We suggest that you bring with you a plentiful supply of any prescription medication you need - more than enough for your entire trip. We recommend to also have a copy of the prescription with you. There are pharmacies on the islands, but these are difficult to reach and your prescription may be impossible to obtain. It is best to plan ahead in this regard.

Yes, but how will we all fit?
Many people worry that they’ll be too cramped on a boat, and that the close quarters will lead to problems. OK, listen, this yacht is 66' x 18' x 3 decks or 3560 Sq. Ft. How big is your home, may I ask? You spend so much time in the water or the beach and one couple may opt to stay ashore one day and do some biking; it may well be harder to keep everyone together. All we can say is the closeness just never seems to be a problem.

Perfect Little Paradise has spacious living quarters, saloon and deck areas allow great flexibility, so you can enjoy togetherness or privacy at any time. Your crew can join in the daily activities as much as you like, or if you prefer, they will give you maximum privacy. The crew is always sensitive to your wishes.
